Not suitable for use on horizontal surfaces such as timber decking.

The finishes are UV Protection Oil 410 and UV Protection Oil – Extra 420.

The 410 has a clear, low satin sheen, and is biocide free, meaning it can be used internally on timbers such as window frames, french doors etc. It can also be used in areas where food may be present, such as on timber garden furniture. Best results are achieved if the setting is kept undercover without direct UV.

The 420 has a higher satin finish, and contains biocides. These “Extra” ingredients help fight mould and fungal attack. The 420 should only be used on external timber surfaces where food will not be present. The UV resistance is the same for the 410 and 420.

All untreated exterior timber will turn grey over time, but UV Protection oil has been developed to slow the greying process. However, in New Zealand, due to the strength of UV, the clear UV Protection Oils have a lifespan of approximately 3 – 4 months in fully exposed weather conditions, and 12-18 months in areas that are totally weather protected.

For longer protection, we recommend using one of the tinted UV Oils or Natural Oil Woodstain.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0268/9839/files/2ae6ca9255e021732969d07b62e76f8a_368e6943-c4fb-489e-a6d0-d54558b87534.png?v=1773020390
