Description

The revolutionary way to add fluorescent dyes into air conditioning & refrigeration systems — without the use of additional refrigerant, manifold & additional hoses.
Features the OPTIMA cordless blue light LED leak detection flashlight. Versatile, multi-dose dye cartridges. Injector easily overcomes system pressure.

Fluorescent leak detection kit uses OEM-approved universal POE (polyolester) solvent-free dyes that reveal leaks as small as 1/8 oz. (5 grams) per yr. or less.

• Add fluorescent dye with system off or running
• No pouring & no refrigerant required for injection
• One calibrated cartridge provides exact dosing for multiple systems
• Easily overcomes system pressure
• Inject dye with a turn of the h&le

Kit includes:
• OPTIMAX™ leak detection flashlight
• EZ-Ject™ dye injector assembly
• Hose/coupler with check valve, low-loss & purge fittings
• 2 x 15 ml EZ-Ject™ Universal/POE dye cartridges
• 3 x drip plugs for hose/coupler
• 237 ml GLO-AWAY™ dye cleaner
• Fluorescence-enhancing glasses

So, what is UV leak detection?
It’s a method in which a small amount of fluorescent dye is injected into & circulated through an operating system. The dye/refrigerant mixture will escape & accumulate at all leak sites. By then scanning the system with a leak detection light, all leaks will fluoresce green or yellow, making them easy to spot. If a leak is present, a fluorescent glow will appear making even the smallest leaks easy to pinpoint.

Advantages:
Quickly find the exact source of each & every leak
Leaks are detectable at a distance
Very small, multiple, & intermittent leaks are easily found
Technicians can search for leaks while system is off or running
Dye can remain in systems indefinitely
Technicians can safely search near moving parts
Method reduces contract service costs
