Description

Ready, Get Set… Go!

There’s nothing worse than revving up the engine and having your starter fail due to excessive heat. Prevent starter heat lock and take off with confidence with our HP Starter Shieldproprietary starter heat wrap. Available in single and double-insulated models, this starter motor heat shield is ideal for all automotive applications and can even extend the life of your starter motor and solenoid.

Depending on the amount of airspace between the starter and the heat source in your vehicle, we offer different models of
automotive engine heat shields. For especially tight spaces, we recommend this starter heat wrap, which comes in a medium size fit for most automotive applications and has a heat resistance of up to 1100°F continuous and 2000°F intermittent.

Installation
To make installation as straightforward as possible, we offer the HP Starter Shieldin two convenient sizes. This saves you from needing to trim the shield down to the size of your starter. To install, simply wrap the starter heat wrap around the starter motor and fasten securely with the built-in hook-and-loop system. The hook-and-loop seam should be faced away from the heat source to avoid damage to the fasteners.
