A Little disappointing, but nice none the less

This should be a top of the line tap wrench, Starret's brand is known for quality.

For the most part, it is a nice tool, the casting is finished beautifully and the knurled handles are super grippy.
The parts that need to be hardened are, and the thing is damm heavy for its size.

However, the mechanism for adjusting the grab is crusty and rough.
On further inspection, the threads are full of burs and swarf. I had to clean these manually with a wire wheel to get a smoothly operating tool - not something I should have to do with a $100+ tap wrench.

The spec is also a bit off, it claims up to a 1/2" tap it wouldn't fit an M10 gun tap. Maybe the square shank on the tap is a weird size - I dunno

If I paid less for this tool, I'd be very impressed, but when you spend good money, you expect a good tool
